Somewhere along the way, Letterboxd became one of my favorite social media platforms. Its singular purpose makes sharing my favorite films easy. Instead of doom scrolling, I’m stressing over my scores (you can see where this is going).
So is Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle a 2.5 star or 3 star film? That’s the struggle. It has fan-favorite moments and lots of action, but man does the pacing in the back third really kill the momentum. We really get to learn about Akaza and it feels wasted in parts because I wanted the plot to move on.
Given manga’s episodic nature, I imagine the film will be chopped up in TV episodes and play much better. Wondering if I should move over reading the manga since the arc is being split up into 3 movies?
That 2.5 stars is starting to look really accurate…
